The Bose Soundlink on-ear headphones are a great pair of headphones if you are looking for something that is compact and easy to store with a convenient carrying case, if you are looking for something lightweight and comfortable, or if you are looking for something with relatively good sound quality that is super easy to use. If you are a student who needs a nice, convenient pair of headphones to listen to their lectures or books, then these are going to be for you. If you are a commuter and want to listen to music or the news on your phone while riding on the bus or train, but want something that is going to be compact and easy to store, then you might want to consider these headphones. These are wonderful if you need to make an important call, as it utilizes a very high-tech microphone with an adaptive voice system that is going to adjust the volume of your headphones based on how loud you are talking and the ambient noise around you. These have an outstanding battery life and a quick charge feature if you need to charge them in a hurry. They are an all-around good headphone and even though they may have a steeper price tag than a lot of other headphones, customers suggest that they are well worth the money they paid for them.

Positive
  • The reception on these is great. I also think that the battery life is stellar. They keep me connected for over 10 hours of continual use.
  • These headphones are so even and have really nice bass without pounding my head in. They have good mids and clear highs, truly great headphones. They are not real bulky and easy to carry around. They have great battery and they charge quick.
  • I have had Beats and the Bose knocks them out of the park. The mids and highs are so crisp and clear without the bass taking over your head space. The music and conversations are nice and smooth. These are so much lighter and sleek too.
  • These are so much more comfortable than any Beats I have worn. They are smaller and compact and the padding on the head piece is like a pillow. There is no added pressure. They do not even bother me when I have my glasses on.
  • These were quite expensive but totally worth it. They are also really nice and sound dampening. I can still hear things and am aware of my surroundings but it doesn't interfere with the phones. These are great and cover my whole ear, which I like.
  • These give a great clear sound when in use and have no static or hissing noises. They have good mix of high, low, mid and the bass. You are able to hear all the sick and vocals.
  • These work great after about 8 hours they hurt and I have a small head so they look big.
  • I’ve tried numerous before buying and these are the best I have ever listened through. They are clear and crisp and really comfortable. I used them for over a week before the battery died.
  • I love that I am able to listen pain free for a long time The hole is larger than most and your ear kind of slides in and there is no pressure. They have some of the clearest sound that I have never had in an earphone.
  • Man, I cannot say enough about these. They are worth every penny. They are clear and comfortable and have a really long battery life. They are easy to get around with and have no real bulkiness to them.
  • I use these for everything. My phone, the computer and music, t.v. shows and my online classes. They do a good job of keeping out background noise so you can enjoy whatever it is you are doing.
  • I bought thee for the gym but I use them all day everyday. I don't want to listen to the world. These things are incredible and crisp and work as a comfortable and great escape.
  • These do not cancel noise but they do work amazing. They have real nice balance to all the ranges and the base is not too crunchy and deep for long time wear. They are light and more than worth the money in my opinion.
  • These are cinema quality headphones. They are light and compact but carry a heavyweight function. The sound is like no other. Beats ain’t got nothing on Bose.
  • I calibrated thee after I tried them the first time and they are the clearest headphones I have ever had. They are so comfortable too and light. I love them.
  • These buggers really cradle and don't smoosh the ear. I am shocked. The sound is epic as Bose always is. The dampen noise, not cancel it.
  • These buggers really cradle and don't smoosh the ear. I am shocked. The sound is epic as Bose always is. The dampen noise, not cancel it.
  • I am really happy with these because the battery last FOREVER. They are lightweight and compact and have a crisp clean sound and not an overwhelming bass.
  • I wear my hones to bed and these do not cause me any discomfort. That alone is worth it for me. They sound great too.
  • These are a pain in the butt to get linked up and ready to go. But, they last long and sound amazing.
  • I am so pleased with these. They last forever. Favorite out of all the headphones I have had. They are cozy around the ears, no pressure and they sound is like no other. Crisp and clean.
  • They are so soft on my ears and have been so nice to use for my new infatuation with audio books. I love that I don't have to stress about battery if either.
  • They do not cancel noise. They are not as bass-y as the Beats but I cannot believe how much I have missed out on in the music I like these have shown me how to listen to music without blowing my eardrums.
  • These are not for heavy bass. They have a good range, about 30 feet. The battery takes around an hour to charge but last for many, many hours for use.
  • Fit the ears like a glove, an ear-glove with sweet, sweet music bursting from them. They are great and light and keep me happy for hours.
Negative
  • They have a glitch which shuts down my computer and after 6 weeks they sound like a blown speaker or a loose wire. For the price, this is unacceptable. bought these about 6 weeks ago.
  • These sound great but are not made to last. They are separating at the earpiece after a month and they feel cheap.
  • I can now see the sponge in the padding. The plastic covering started coming off as well. I mean, these are expensive and should last way longer I think.
  • I got these because they are wireless but they suck. Thy cut in and out a lot and it is annoying. I mean the sound is there but its annoying.
  • I have had them a little less than six months and now the volume is not working. It sounds like they are broken. So, I would say durability is their fault.
  • The audio visual lags big time. Ya, the audio is nice but i am watching a movie and missing the point due to it not synching. When it is connected to my laptop, I cannot get calls to synch either.

Activities

These headphones may not be the best thing to wear if you are planning on doing vigorous activities, as they have the tendency to move around on your head if you are not careful. These may not be made for running, but they definitely can be used for other workouts such as weight lifting or other lighter exercises. It is wise to be conscious of your sweating though, as it may not be the best thing to get them too sweaty. Sweating excessively onto the cushioning of these headphones will lead to faster deterioration of the materials and will make the headphones less comfortable. Just because the headphones can be used in the gym, they probably are not the best place for them. Many customers use the headphones for casual listening and for taking phone calls.
Basic Features
Basic Features

Basic Features

One of the most basic features that the Bose Soundlink headphones have to offer is the fact that you can connect them wirelessly through Bluetooth so you can listen to them from a portable device such as your cell phone or an mp3 player. The right earcup of these headphones house the power and volume buttons. There is also a button on there that is used to serve multiple purposes, such as controlling the playback of the music, skipping or replaying tracks, and answering phone calls if connected to a mobile device. You just simply tap the button to trigger different functions depending on the situation.

The Bose Soundlink has an amazing 15-hour battery life, although many customers commented that it usually lasts longer than that. Many have stated that they only really need to charge these headphones about once a week with normal everyday use. They do also offer a quick charge, so if you need to charge these in a hurry you can get about two hours of use out of them with just a 15-minute charge. The headphones will notify you of the battery percentage each time you turn the headphones on so you will know when it is time to charge them.

Advanced Features

The headphones do connect to your device through Bluetooth, but you also have the ability to pair your device over NFC if you are using an Android device to listen to your music. The headphones will give you voice prompts in your ear to assist you and connect your device. One of the more advanced features that the Bose Soundlink headphones offer is that you can connect to more than one device simultaneously, with multi-point connections. This feature may not be unique to the Bose Soundlink headphone, but it something that a lot of other headphones do not offer their customers. The headphones are able to store up to eight playback devices in their memory for more convenience to their customers.

The Bose Soundink headphones feature a built-in microphone located on the outer panel of the right earcup. The headphones use Bose's adaptive audio adjustment technology in their two-way microphone. The headphones will automatically change the volume for you while making phone calls based on how loudly you are speaking as well as the background noise around you. This may not be a completely unique technology, but is something that a lot of other headphone companies do not utilize as often as they could.
Sound Quality
Sound Quality

Sound Quality

The sound quality of the Bose Soundlink headphones can definitely use some work. They do not have terrible sound quality by any means, but there are definitely better options out there if you are looking for the best. The headphones have better sound when they are running off the battery to push the drives, as opposed to listening to music while the headphones are in wired listening mode. Unless you are listening to the music at extremely high volumes you probably will not notice too much of a difference. A lot of lower-end headphones will distort your music if you are listening to them at moderate-to-loud volumes (which is not recommended), but these headphones don't have this issue. Whether you are listening to music with powerful sub-bass, orchestral tracks, songs with kick drum loops, or music with a wide variety of vocals, the Bose Soundlink keeps the sound smooth and clear.
Connectivity
Connectivity

Connectivity

The Bose Soundlink On-Ear Wireless headphones are one of the top-of-the-line headphones when it comes to connectivity. These headphones offer multipoint pairing, meaning that you can connect these to two different devices at the same time. Consumers agree that this feature makes things nice and easy for them. It is nice to be able to, for example, connect the headphones to both your laptop and your phone so you can listen to the music on your computer while still being able to take calls from your phone if the need arises. If you are using these in a gym during a workout, you might want to connect to both your phone and an mp3 player so you can listen to your music without killing the battery of your phone, but you would still be able to stay connected to your cell just in case you get a phone call and want to take it. You simply have to put your headphones in pairing mode, connect the first device, and then simply connect the second device. Customers have mentioned that connecting the headphones to their devices has been easy and they had no real problems connecting to more than one device.
Comfort
Comfort

Comfort

Bose is known for making headphones that offer superior comfort and these headphones did not disappoint. Many customers who have purchased and use these headphones regularly all agree that these headphones are comfortable to wear. The headphones fit your head snugly and comfortably, as long as you are not moving your head too vigorously, in which case they tend to move around a bit. They offer faint, plush padding on the ear cups to give the wearer a better experience. Customers have even commented that they remain comfortable while wearing them for hours, even when wearing glasses. People who regularly wear glasses know, on-ear headphones can get uncomfortable after wearing them for extended periods of time, but you should not have that problem with these headphones.
Style
Style

Style

The Bose Soundlink headphones are an on-ear headphone and as such, they sit on top of your ears. The earcups have an egg shape design while still retaining Bose's simple, signature aesthetic. These are a basic, simple looking pair of headphones, and that is probably one of the biggest things that appeal to the consumer. Bose offers a couple different color combinations for these headphones so you can choose what best suits your tastes. You have the choice between black with blue accents, or white with blue accents. Whichever color you choose to go with, they are going to have the Bose logo printed on the side of the earcup in silver lettering. They are plain and simple, and consumers love that about them.
Durability
Durability

Durability

The Bose Soundlink headphones are not the most durable headphones out on the market. In order to keep costs down, Bose uses plastic in the manufacturing of these headphones. Although they do not feel like they are cheap, they do not feel top of the line either. The plastic yokes of the headphones rotate around to make them more compact and easy to store, however, some say that these feel like they could break at any point with little pressure.
Ease of Use
Ease of Use

Ease of Use

The Bose Soundlink headphones are extremely easy to use and definitely user-friendly. There is a power button on the right ear cup of the headphones that is a simple sliding toggle. The power button doubles as the button to pair the headphones to your device. All you have to do is simply hold the button in for up to two seconds and then listen to the prompts. The Bose automated voice will come through the headphones and give you step by step directions on how to pair them. The volume button is also fairly self-explanatory and easy to use. All and all these are wonderfully simple headphones to use, even for the technologically impaired.
Power Source

Power Source

These headphones mainly run off of a battery and have a really good battery life, lasting up to 15 hours, if not more, depending on certain factors such as the volume you have them set to. The Bose Soundlink headphones charge via a micro-USB cable which usually takes about an hour and a half to fully charge. If you do not have the time or do not want to wait the full time for a charge, you can use a quick charge to give yourself about two hours of battery life with just a 15-minute charge. The Bose automated voice tells you the percentage of your battery every time you power on and it gives you a warning when the battery is low and needs to be charged. On top of the audio reminders, there is also an LED light that shows the battery status; green for a high charge, amber for a medium charge, and blinking red for a low charge.
Price
Price

Price

Bose is a big name in the headphone game and because of that, you are going to see a steeper price tag on their products. The Soundlink headphones are no different, they are going to cost you a pretty penny. Even though they are expensive, they do run a little cheaper compared to other Bose headphones and other big name brands. Customers, however, have commented that they are worth the money that they paid for them, even if it was a little steep.

Bottom Line
Bottom Line

Bottom Line

The Bose Soundlink on-ear wireless headphones are pretty decent headphones. They may not be the very best on the market but they are most certainly better than others. These headphones are pretty middle of the line. They do have a steeper price tag than many people like, but the ones who splurged and bought them were not disappointed. If you are a commuter or a student and are looking for something lightweight and compact but still good sound quality then these are probably a good fit for you. If you are looking for something to wear to the gym for hardcore workouts or for long runs, you might want to stay away from these and find something better to suit your needs. These are overall a fairly good headphone and the customers who have purchased them have suggested that they are pleased with their purchase and with the headphones themselves.
