Jabra Move Style Edition Review Facts
Watch Video Review

Wireless over-the-ear headphones offer buyers the perfect combination of deeper and richer sound with the convenience of hands-free usage. This is exactly why Jabra created their Move Style Edition headphones, released in January of 2019. At just 5.6 ounces, it’s noticeably more lightweight and less bulky than other similar models that are on the market. Its cloth-covered adjustable headband and padded PU leather ear cups ensure a comfortable and customizable fit. Volume controls on the left-hand side enable hands-free usage, as does its Bluetooth connectivity and wireless range of up to 33 feet. What buyers seem to be most impressed with, however, is its incredibly long battery life of up to 14 hours. This, along with its standby time of up to 12 days, lets them know that they can count on it to last all day long. Furthermore, it also comes with a detachable 3.5mm audio cable as well as three different color options.

Activities

On the surface, the Move Style Edition looks like it would be a good choice for those who live a slightly more active lifestyle than most of us. It offers a completely wireless wear that provides up to 14 hours of battery life after just two hours of charging. Those who are out for long periods of time can depend on this model lasting and giving them the same sound quality that they had when their day started. Reviews do indicate, however, that these would work best for long casual walks or jogs as well as for traveling or even work. Even though they could be fine for basic walks and jogs, some buyers have said that they jiggle around too much during high-intensity workouts and runs. And even though this model can easily function in both very hot and very cold temperatures, these may not be the most comfortable earphones to wear in the middle of the summer.

Basic Features

The Move Style Edition starts off with a steel headband that features a lightly-padded cloth cover, providing a sturdy yet reasonably comfortable wear. Its ear cups are padded and made with PU leather, each one marked with an 'R' or 'L' and housing a 40mm dynamic speaker. While the right side has a switch that enables Bluetooth connectivity, the left side includes volume controls for a more hands-free experience. There is even a sliding compartment on each side of the headband that allows the buyer to adjust it according to their desired fit. The set also comes with a USB cable for quick and easy charging, whether the buyer is at home or out using a portable charger. And for those moments when there simply isn't enough time to charge, it also comes with a 3.5mm audio cable that connects to almost any smartphone or computer.

Advanced Features

The Move Style Edition has the average headphone frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz, meaning that it offers buyers the same incredible sound range that they're used to. Its speakers, which are 40mm each, have a sensitivity level of 94dB to ensure incredible levels of sound quality. It's also compatible with Bluetooth 4.0 and can easily be connected to up to eight mobile devices with two being used at the exact same time. A 4mm omnidirectional microphone is also built in, which enabling hands-free calling as well as voice command. Unlike some other Jabra sets, however, it does not connect to any of the brand's specialized apps.
Sound Quality
Sound Quality

Sound Quality

Most buyers feel that the Move Style Edition offers them very good sound quality. Each ear cup houses a 40mm dynamic speaker, which includes a sensitivity level of 94dB. It also includes the average headphone frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz, and the volume can easily be adjusted thanks to controls on the left ear cup. Although many reviewers are happy while using this model both for work and basic fitness, there are several others who expected more. One of their biggest complaints is that it doesn't provide any sort of noise isolation. So it's safe to assume that these aren't entirely noise-canceling, which would make them safer in high-traffic areas yet disappointing for those who look for that quality. And at just 29 Ohms, its impedance level is also much lower than many other advanced models on the market.
Connectivity
Connectivity

Connectivity

Unlike many wireless headsets, including others made by Jabra, the Move Style Edition one does not connect to any apps or special tools. However, it is compatible with Bluetooth 4.0 and can easily connect with up to eight devices whether it's a smartphone or a tablet. Buyers are also able to use two devices at once as they wear these headphones. A simple switch on the right ear cup enables this technology and can work for both regular call and voice commands. And its operating range of up to 33 feet means that buyers won't feel tied down to their device. Unfortunately, reviews also indicate that this may be one of the set's weaker qualities. Multiple reviewers have experienced issues when trying to connect it to their device, as it either didn't stay connected or didn't work at all. This seemed to happen most often whenever the buyer was using a laptop computer. Although it does come with a detachable 3.5mm cable, which would make it easier to use for some, using it would still be disappointing considering the fact that this set is marketed as wireless.
Comfort
Comfort

Comfort

Judging by the reviews it's received, most buyers seem to find the Move Style Edition pretty comfortable. Since it weighs in at just 5.6 ounces, this set won't feel quite as bulky as several other over-the-ear headsets. While some consumers don't feel that its PU leather ear cups offer enough padding, many have said that it's sufficient enough that they don't feel pain when they wear this device. And even though its headband is made from steel, it features a cloth cover with minimal padding so it can wrap comfortably around the buyer's head. It even includes a sliding mechanism that allows buyers to adjust the headband for a more customized fit. With all of this said, buyers have still noticed a few issues with how this set fits over their heads. As stated before, some don't feel that it gives them enough padding, while others feel that it doesn't work for their ear shape. Those who wear glasses are especially disappointed since its build doesn't work with their eyewear and leaves them feeling uncomfortable. And while it's definitely more lightweight than most headphones, this set still wouldn't be fit for most workout sessions.
Style
Style

Style

While the Move Style Edition doesn't look that much different from any other over-the-ear headset, it does have its noticeable differences. Headphones typically weight anywhere between three and fourteen ounces, so the fact that this model weighs 5.6 ounces means that it's more lightweight than most. It's not quite as bulky as its competitors, yet is still able to perform just as well. It can easily be used with or without a wire, depending on the buyer's preferences or whether not it's been charged. And the combined textures of its cloth headband, PU leather ear cups, and metal and plastic accessories, make it extremely appealing to most consumers. Buyers also appreciate the fact that, unlike several other headsets, it comes in three different colors instead of just one. Depending on their own personal preferences, buyers can get this model in black, navy blue, or gold beige.
Durability
Durability

Durability

Almost all reviews and product listings indicate that the Move Style Edition was built to last. Rather than relying completely on plastic, which would limit its sturdiness, the headband is made with steel and features a lightly padded cloth cover. The sliding compartment, which allows the buyer to adjust its wear, is also made from metal. Its padded ear cups are covered with a PU leather and held in place, and to the headband, with plastic. All of these features and materials combine together to ensure that all of its inner workings are thoroughly protected. Listings also show that is can successfully operate in any temperature between 14 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit and can be stored safely anywhere between -4 and 185 degrees Fahrenheit. However, it's still not completely safe from potential damage, since there's absolutely no indication of whether or not this set is waterproof. And its impedance level of listed at 29 Ohms, meaning that it's not nearly as resistant to blow out as other models on the market.
Ease of Use
Ease of Use

Ease of Use

One of the Move Style Edition's greatest selling points is that it's surprisingly easy to use. Every set comes with an instruction manual that shows the buyer how to properly connect it to their chosen devices. Bluetooth connectivity can easily be activated by flipping a switch on the right ear cup, and the volume can be adjusted using the controls on the left-hand side. The fact that it doesn't connect to an app is also a plus to several reviewers, as it means that they have less to set up and keep track of. Others are also glad that it comes with its own detachable 3.5mm audio cable, considering the connectivity issues that this set is known to have. Some buyers are, however, disappointed to learn that this set can't be folded down, which could make things a bit more difficult during travel.
Power Source
Power Source

Power Source

Unlike most wireless headphones that are sold today, the Move Style Edition works with two different power sources. Obviously, this set is intended to be wireless, so it comes with its own USB plug that allows it to be easily charged via a computer, wall outlet, or portable charger. What buyers are most pleased about is that it offers them up to fourteen hours of battery life, along with twelve days of standby time. This means that they can count on it to last them throughout the day, and even for several days depending on how long they use it. And since devices almost never run out of battery life at convenient times, this set also comes with a 3.5mm audio cable that can be used on almost any device. Considering how many buyers have struggled with using it along with their laptop, the audio cable would definitely make things easier.
Price
Price

Price

Considering how advanced it is for an over-the-ear model, the Move Style Edition is surprisingly reasonable when it comes to its price tag. It can be found on the Jabra website for only $100, and several listings on eBay and Amazon offer some incredible deals. Although there are many other large headphones out there that are listed at the exact same price, they don’t offer the wireless wear and long battery life that this particular model has. As a result, many buyers prefer this particular set over a regular pair, as they’re able to use it comfortably during casual jogs, travels, and basic everyday activities. On the other hand, it may not be as convenient for some as a small pair of wireless earbuds, and they might be scared off by its inconsistent connectivity and the fact that it’s not noise-isolating.

Bottom Line
Bottom Line

Bottom Line

For the most part, buyers seem to be happy with the Jabra Move Style Edition's levels of comfort, performance, and versatility. Not only does it offer an impressive sound quality and frequency range, but its wireless range of up to 33 feet means that the buyer can make calls or listen to music without feeling tied to their device. It's also noticeably more lightweight than most other over-the-ear headsets, and the fact that it's sold in three different colors is an added bonus. There have, however, been several complaints about its inconsistent connectivity and lack of noise-isolation. Just like any other headset or electronic device, how much the buyer loves it depends entirely on what they use it for and how many of its features they can properly utilize.
