Below you will read a summary of them:

Positive
  • I was so happy with the feel of these almost perfect racers. These perform so well, way better than the flyknit 3.0 These make you push yourself. When you start getting tired, they help you to keep moving forward.
  • Best Nikes on the market now. They are stellar in comfort and the upper makes the shoe stupid light. The sole is so responsive and comfortable. The midsole is made well and really locks your foot in. I had to size up as always with Nike. the VaporMax isn't nothing compared to these.
  • These do not have the heel counter issues the regular Zoom Fly has. There is no comparison in comfort, these are the best. The upper is alien like., super thin but not too stretchy like te flyknit. I am not sure where they got it from. These weren’t made to walk in these are pure runners, marathon style.
  • I love Nikes but haven't ran in them in a long time because they were slacking in running distance comfort. These however, have brought me back to the house. SO very comfortable and stable. These are purebred running shoes and I love everything about them.
  • These are so comfortable and relaxed feeling when on. They are better than that Brooks has been making recently so I had to switch. They do run a tad small so size up. If you do not, then your toes are going hate you. Nikes are always off in the toe box.
  • These have a nice soft heel and great air top like the Vapor Fly. They are also a lot lighter than them. They keep my legs feeling good longer too. These are a good hybrid between the Zoom and Vapor.
  • I find these shoes to be faster than the Lunar 3s that I alternate with. These fit snug like I like and the are super comfortable and built to go the distance while keeping you steady and pain free.
  • These lock in the foot so well and are so freaking light. I have to say Nike made the best shoe in their history when they made this shoe. I'm waiting for the trail and support version of this shoe!
  • I bought these for work on accident thinking they were a support shoe. Well, I have to say I am impressed. I know they are for marathons but by the way they make my feet fee, apparently my work is like running a marathon because they are perfect. They support and keep the fatigue away..
  • These are so light and very responsive. They run a bt small but still lock in tons of cushioning. These are definitely made for road distance.
  • These shoes look great, better than the photo. They fit really snug but it is almost how they are supposed to fit because they have me no issues and my feet feel amazing. I would recommend this shoe for sure, best out there in my opinion.
  • I have to say these are the best out there. I am coming into these from the Vapor. They run a half size small like all Nikes but man they are so worth the price. Great shoes.
  • I have two pairs of these. They are so damn comfortable and super duper lightweight. They are the best running shoe I have ever had.
  • These do not have much cushioning in the front so I personally would not use them for distance. However, they are really nice shoes and feel good. They run a bit small but I would buy them again.
  • These have the best heel cushioning for me and I use them in marathons. They are so comfortable and give me the support I need for my knees with distance. After getting these I have an issue using other shoes, they just feel hard. I love these shoes. I always look forward to wearing these.
  • These are way better than the Ultra Boost for sure. I have two pair and am so happy with them. I am so happy with it and the size runs a bit small like everyone says.
  • They are cozy and cushy and react well when I heel strike. So much cushion in there. They are so light and just an altogether great shoe. They do run small though.
Negative
  • I am not impressed with the quality of this shoe. They are not comfortable against my heel and I get pains when I am running. They are too narrow and run a whole size smaller, it is weird that Nike always does this.
  • I do not think they tested this shoe, it is horrible. I cannot keep the laces tied. They attract and hold moisture weirdly too. Just not satisfied.
  • The toe on these is weird and makes me uncomfortable. They run way too small ad the toe box s too tight. The laces never stay tied either; it is SO annoying.
  • I had to return these for two reasons: they were way to small and the laces were stupid and didn't work, making the shoe loose often.

Outsole
Outsole

Outsole

The outsole of the Nikelab Zoom Fly NYC shoes are made of a soft, comfortable rubber under the forefront of the foot and multiple pieces of rubber put together under the heel with the foam of the midsole exposed to help keep the shoes more lightweight. Most of the coverage of the outsole is present at the front of the shoe, under your toes. This is because a large amount of rubber helps add rigidity which will aid in faster roll-offs assisting you in a faster running speed, which is the ultimate goal of these shoes. If you are a forefront striker, which Nike is hoping that the runners wearing these shoes are, the rubber at the forefront will help make the shoes last longer and give you better traction while you are on the go. The rubber part of the outsole at the heel is made of separate pieces of rubber making a crescent shape around the exposed midsole to help increase the traction and give you a little bit of extra cushioning in the heel.
Midsole
Midsole

Midsole

The Nikelab Zoom Fly NYC shoes have a midsole that has two different layers. The outer casing of the midsole is made out of an EVA foam while the inside is made out of a much softer Lunarlon with a stiff nylon plate underneath it. The plate is not located under the heel of the shoe, which many people would expect, it is actually located about halfway through the heel stack. The nylon plate is thicker in the front so that it can give you a little better flexibility because the ridges are lengthwise in the shoe, rather than sideways like flex grooves.
Upper
Upper

Upper

The upper of the Nikelab Zoom Fly NYC is made out of a super lightweight and breathable mesh material that is extremely thin and features a decent amount of pores for superior ventilation. The lacing system of the shoes has the laces passing through holes in the upper that is connected to an internal band to help keep your feet locked into the place. The collar of the shoes do not have any padding, instead, it uses a mesh material that is fused for strength and durability. Nike uses an asymmetrical flap design for the tongue of these shoes with a notch along the inner edge to help lock it down and reduce or eliminate the tongue slide. The shoes also feature a small internal heel counter and a stiffer toe-box.

This particular shoe is only available in the NYC color scheme, and that is black and white with shades of grey. Customers like the look and style of these shoes, but some have mentioned that they would like to see them in more color options. If you are looking for other color options, however, you can check out Nikelabs Zoom Fly line of shoes which will give you the same great shoe as these, but without the NYC colorway. Durability
Durability

Durability

The Nikelab Zoom Fly NYC have impeccable durability. These are built for marathon runners and they are built to last a good long time. You do not want to have to worry about your shoes falling apart on you when you are in the middle of a race and with these sneakers you can rest easy and focus on the road ahead of you and not the shoes under your feet. The outsole is made with harder rubber focusing under the toes to make sure that those runners who are forefront strikers do not wear their shoes out too fast and they will last you much longer than others that do not offer this feature. The midsole has amazing padding made out of two different materials with a nylon plate that spans the whole length of the foot to make sure the midsole is going to stay soft and springy for the life of the shoe. You do not have to worry about these losing their bounce in the middle of your run and slowing you down. Customers love that these shoes will not have to be replaced as often as some other running shoes on the market today.
Protection
Protection

Protection

When it comes to shoes, protection is important, as you want to make sure that you are going to be as protected as possible while on the run to help prevent discomfort or injury. The Nikelab Zoom Fly NYC offer a couple different features to help keep you safe. First, the midsole cushioning is great at shock absorption, taking the impact of each step you take and reducing any joint injury that may occur. The tread design on the outsole will also help you keep your grip while on the run which is going to keep you from slipping and sliding around and possibly falling which can lead to injury. These do not offer too much in the way of protection, but it does do some to make sure you are safe and comfortable on race day.
Responsiveness
Responsiveness

Responsiveness

Nike can boast that these shoes have superior responsiveness that every runner can appreciate. The Nikelab Zoom Fly NYC has a midsole that has two layers, one made out of EVA foam and the other that is made out of Lunarlon to give you the best bounce possible with each step you take. It is important to have a springy cushion under your feet to give you better energy return while you are running. This basically means that when you step into your shoe, the padding will compress and then bounce back, propelling you forward. This will save you a little bit of energy allowing you to focus more on running faster and longer.
Support
Support

Support

The internal heel counter, even though it is rather small, combined with the shoes lacing system and Flywire cords, keep your feet locked into the shoe tightly and securely. You will not have to worry about your feet sliding around in the shoe while you are on the run while wearing the Nikelab Zoom Fly NYC sneakers.
Terrain
Terrain

Terrain

The Nikelab Zoom Fly NYC are made to be worn as a road running shoes. It is recommended that you stick to flat non-abrasive surfaces such as roads, tracks, and treadmills. These shoes were, after all, designed to be worn while training for and running marathons, which are generally ran on roads and other such surfaces. There is a decent amount of grip on these shoes so you may be ok running on other terrains, but it is not advised.
Price
Price

Price

When it comes to purchasing any kind of running shoes, especially ones that are made for marathon training and running, you are going to be investing a pretty penny into getting a good reliable pair of shoes. That being said, these shoes are on the expensive side of the spectrum when compared to other similar shoes. Keep in mind, however, that these shoes are not going to have to be replaced very often, as they are made to withstand marathon training. You may have to pay a lot of money up front for these shoes, but it will not be a purchase you are going to have to make again for a while. Customers have commented that these are worth the money that they paid for them and that they would purchase them again if needed.
Traction
Traction

Traction

The Nikelab Zoom Fly NYC offer a decent amount of traction for runners. There is rubber covering the whole forefront of the shoe and patches on the heel of the shoe to make sure you get a good grip while you are running. You should have no problem staying on your feet if you are running on roads or treadmills as is recommended. Customers have not commented anything about how they act if you take them off the beaten path.
Flexibility
Flexibility

Flexibility

The shoes do not offer a lot when it comes to flexibility. The Nikelab Zoom Fly NYC shoes do not have the typical flex grooves that you may expect from running shoes. Instead, they make use of ridges that are molded lengthwise, instead of sideways, to make sure the plate in the midsole does not move and bend. The shoes may not have a lot of flexibility, but that is by design. Due to the lack of flex, these are going to allow for a better toe spring for a more responsive feel. The lack of flexibility works well for a strictly running shoe, but that makes these a bit more uncomfortable for those with a slower pace or for walkers. If you are planning on doing a lot of walking then these shoes are not recommended, as they will be stiff and uncomfortable.
Stability
Stability

Stability

The Nikelab Zoom Fly NYC offer a decent amount of stability to you when you are running. As these shoes are more recommended for forefront strikers, they are going to be slightly more stable in the front of the shoe than in the heel. Overall, however, these shoes are only middle of the line when it comes to stability. If you are in the market for a stable shoe, there are definitely better choices out there, but if you are looking for something middle of the road that is perfect for marathons then you have come to the right place.
Drop
Drop

Drop

The drop of a shoe is simply the measurement of the incline or the difference in the distance of the heel and forefront to the ground. Running shoes have an average drop of 8mm to 12mm with most falling right around the 10mm mark. That being said, the Nikelab Zoom Fly NYC features a 10mm drop which customers appreciate. The higher drop allows for more cushioning in the heel and a more responsive feel under your feet.
