Upper

During moves like burpees, you run into issues such as feet dragging or your feet don't lift as high as they do when you have more energy. That's why the Reebok Nano 9 feature an additional layer of material protecting them from breaking down.

You will see that Reebok also changed the material in the upper; with this model they decided to use a new and improved flexweave, made to be more maneuverable. The material is very flexible and breathable and ranks over any other material used in previous models.

Most shoe companies have now changed over to using flexweave - specially made by weaving moisture-wicking thread along with synthetic material to keep shoes flexible and your feet dry and cool.
Support

Support

For activities such as rope or rock climbing, Reebok designed this model with 6 eyelets running up the mid-foot. The model is similar to the Speed TR with the eyelets reinforced and paired with s tongue which was made to be a bit wider and a little more padded.

The reason for this change is to have more protection, and they added the sixth eyelets to allow for additional ankle stability.

Reebok slightly redesigned the heel construction of the Nano 9 but kept the same bootie design. Reviewers have mentioned that the heel cup, also known as the heel support, is slightly higher than in its predecessor, Reebok Nano 8. With this it allows the shoe to do its job by holding out against letting your heel slip.

Durability
Durability

Durability

No doubt that this model is made to last, reviewers even made jokes about these shoes being indestructible!

First off, the new stretch flexweave is absolutely seamless beside it connecting to the sole. The flexweave is so stretchy and durable it is literally made to adjust to any foot, any movement, and any terrain.

This model is made to withstand a lot, especially since these are cross-fit shoes, meant for the most intense of workouts.

With its firm outsole and medium-firm midsole paired with a minimal drop, the shoes have durability, versatility, and comfort.
Stability
Stability

Stability

The previous models in this line have been lacking a little bit of the stability feature. But Reebok really turned that around with the Nano 9 model. They decided to keep the toe box wider with a modest heel to toe drop - so that it naturally keeps your foot well-grounded and in place.

Let us not forget the rounded heel cushion allows for the heel area to be as stable as possible and with no possibility of slipping, while also keeping it comfortable and without making it too bulky.

It's not good to have your feet slipping all over the place; in the event your shoe doesn't have stability you're not able to achieve a solid landing and that can end up with injuries like a sprain or a tweaked ankle.

When you are involved in activities such as running, having a stable shoe will allow you to have a straight gait line, and that's exactly what the Reebok Nano 9 provide you with.
Outsole
Outsole

Outsole

The Reebok Nano 9 features a TPU split sole. A split outsole is generally two different materials that are used separately to create a nice outsole for a more comfortable landing.

Typically, one side is softer and the other one is harder, made for a nice toe-off, landing, and smoother ride.
Midsole
Midsole

Midsole

In the newest model of the Reebok Nano series, they have upgraded the midsole to aid the shoe's overall comfort. In the midsole towards the toe, it is made up of EVA foam and has the right dose of reactivity for comfort and support.

In addition, the Reebok Nano 9 features a TPU layer that wraps over the midsole and runs to the outsole for added durability. The TPU splits on the back of the heel; this was designed to support this model's stability. And it really shows!

Reviewers and fans of the Nano 9 have mentioned that Reebok's changes in this new model have really made this line stick out.
Comfort
Comfort

Comfort

Featuring the redesigned flexweave, it stretches over the foot to create a sock-like and breathable feel that reviewers won't stop raving over.

Paired with the EVA foam, that gives the shoe a more squishy soft feel; however, it's not actually a soft responsive foam, it's a harder foam. With the type of activity this line is made for, it gives off an illusion of softness.

Flexibility
Flexibility

Flexibility

With the previous Nano models, there was a lack of flexibility. We have some good news though, as this new model is more flexible than any other model in this line!

What did they do differently you ask? Instead of the thicker flexweave, Reebok redesigned it to be a lot tighter and thinner than in its predecessors. The new material in the Nano 9 allows the shoe to move and bend with your feet a lot better.

Furthermore, pairing the new and improved flexweave material with the EVA foam running the full length of the shoe, it makes for one hell of a flexible/comfortable trainer.

For anyone who doesn't know what EVA foam is used for, it's made to create a lighter, springier, flexible feel for more bounding movements.

The EVA foam gives superb underfoot cushioning while not taking away from the responsiveness.
Drop
Drop

Drop

These are the best Reebok shoes made for fitness, from bar facing burpees to box jump overs. The drop in the Reebok Nano 9 is a minimal 4mm which is super supportive and allows for secure footing while doing intense workouts.

These shoes are built to give you the ultimate stability while staying as comfortable and light as possible.
Traction
Traction

Traction

There are very very few shoes that are made for and do well with rope climbing, but the Nano 9 has outstanding reviews and definitely holds up to the promise. Part of this is due to the change in the outsole.

Reebok redesigned the outsole to have better traction that is also versatile. What is the difference you may ask?

Reebok used Diamond shaped MetaSplit grooves for better traction and grip instead of the teeth protruding out of the bottom. Do the MetaSplit grooves work better? Not better, but just as good!

Bottom Line

Bottom Line

If you're looking for a new cross-fit shoe that packs it all then look no further, this model has definitely gained a lot more features from the last model.

Reebok Nano 9 fits true to size, has a roomy toe box, and is designed for versatility. Going for a quick workout, a short run, or a weight-lifting session, you're covered if wearing the Nano 9.

Light, flexible, and durable yet stable and supportive for lifting, the Nano 9 has your back on whatever you decide to do day to day or for training purposes.

As for style, Reebok brought back the Vector logo. Does this mean the Deltas are one forever? We don't know but this was a huge style change and it looks good!

Another design change is the way the outsole is shaped. In older models, the outsole seems to have more rounded corners and edges, while the newest model has more defined corners towards the bottom edges, while around the toe it's slightly rounded.

Reviewers say to purchase a half size bigger if you're using them for more extreme and intense activities, in order to give your feet more room.

Please keep in mind that these shoes are not ideal for running; if you're going for longer runs, and if you have very narrow feet, you might now like the way these fit.

All in all you will find yourself extremely happy with the Reebok Nano 9!
