The Adjustable Straps Handful Bra is cute, soft and comfortable enough to wear all day. A Review of the Adjustable Handful Bra www.runnerclick.com

Handful began with the mission to make products that make women feel happy. They started with bras for women “on-the-go” who value comfort, convenience, and style. The pads are also stackable which is an awesome feature for women who have had a mastectomy.  Needless to say, the women behind Handful put a lot of thought into designing their products.  The Handful Adjustable Bra is arguably their most popular product for good reason.

The Adjustable Handful Bra has two layers. The outer shell is made from a polyester and spandex blend. The fabric is quick-drying and best of all, buttery soft. The black inner lining is moisture wicking and keeps your body cool. The texture of the bra almost feels like a swim suit. I have put it through the wash a number of times and it has maintained its softness and stretchiness. I hang it up to dry but if you use the dryer definitely use low heat.

I normally wear a size 36B bra and pretty consistently fit into anything size M. The size M Handful bra fit me just right. There is a sizing chart on the website that is helpful and accurate to ensure the perfect fit. I love the fit of this bra. Everything is tucked in. No side boob, no extra fabric.  Though I have to say, I liked the fit better when I removed that pads because I like the more minimalist look. The fit was still great with the pads though.

Hands down, the Handful Adjustable Bra is one of the most comfortable bras I have ever worn. The fabric is so soft I could wear it to bed. I can’t feel any of the stitching and the straps are comfortable too. When it is on, I don’t think about it which is exactly what I look for in a bra. The band is just thick enough to be supportive but not too thick or too tight. The straps are also thin but don’t cut into my shoulders like some bras do. The pads are comfortable because of their shape design, but as I mentioned earlier, I find the bra more comfortable without them. You can also use the space for the pads as a pocket for tiny personal items like money or lip balm.

It’s flattering! The ruching successfully eliminates the awful uniboob and shapes everything very nicely. The zig-zag stitching is sleek. There are so many cute patterns and colors to pick from with names like “This Sway and That”. One of the coolest things about the Handful bra is that you can arrange the straps in 3 different ways: straight, crossback, or halter. My favorite is the crossback because it is the most supportive and flattering.

The Handful Adjustable Bra ranges from $50- $54 depending on what pattern you choose. A little pricey for a bra, I know. The upside is free shipping! But also I think the bra is worth the price. It is not just a sports bra, it is a lifestyle bra. You can wear it all day and all night whether you are standing at work, exercising, or going out. Its versatility makes up for the price; it is like 3 bras in one. However, it is not as supportive as other bras in this price range so don’t believe that because you are paying as much as you would for a heavy support bra you will get the same amount of support.

Key Features

  • Adjustable straps with 3 different configuration styles
  • Pockets for removeable pads (which can also be used to store small items)
  • Figure-shaping
  • Soft, moisture wicking fabric

What I Didn’t Like

Like I mentioned before, I wasn’t a fan of the removeable pads. They had just a little too much padding for me. Although, I have to give them credit for staying in place when I exercised with them and they did provide additional support. But I could feel them, and that is what bothers me most about wearing bras. When I removed them, I felt much more comfortable, however some of the support was compromised. That brings me to my second thing that I was disappointed in- without the pads it is just not quite supportive enough for long distance running. I could do about 3 miles but I didn’t feel the support I do with other bras. Other reviewers have said otherwise though so it might just depend on your body type!

Bottom Line

If you are looking for a high support/compression running bra, look elsewhere or maybe at Handful’s other sports bras. But if you are looking for an all-in-one comfortable lifestyle bra, you need the Handful Adjustable Bra. You will not be disappointed.

Finding a bra that you don’t want to rip off at the end of the day is very rare if not impossible. But I didn’t feel that way after wearing the Handful Bra! It was perfect for yoga, traveling, biking, going out, and even Christmas shopping! I am very happy with my Handful bra and I would recommend it for any woman’s closet!
