The Running Event (also known as TRE) conference and trade show is inviting all elite race directors to register for their three-day package which will allow race directors to have a chance to network with top brands, manufacturers, retailers and vendors.   Included in the package is access to the three-day TRE trade show, registration for the Indie 5k, an invitation to the opening night reception and two lunches.  The registration cost for this special package for race directors is $195.

The conference will also include the BibRave100 awards, honoring the best races in America. The BibRave 100 has chosen the best races from around the country including the top 20 half marathon, top 20 marathons, top 15 10ks, top 15 5ks and three top 10 list categories which were nominated on by runners.  Examples include “Best Medal”, “Best Scenery”, “Best Post Race”, etc.

Everyone who registered for The Running Event will be able to go to the inaugural BibRave 100 awards luncheon on Wednesday, November 29.

The Running Event is North America’s largest running conference and trade show.   This year, it will be held at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas on November 29 thru December 1.  The trade show features more than 250 brands, both well known name brands as well as newcomers and will feature the latest and unreleased products.

Speakers at this year’s conference include former Whole Foods CEO Walter Rob, Dave Zimmer and Steve Ginsburg of Fleet Feet Sports-Chicago and RAM Racing as well as Tom Griffen from TG Training and Education and Gregg Frederick from CSE G3 Development Group. Also, new this year is the TRE Lifetime Award ceremony honoring elite runner,  Meb Keflezighi.  Meb received a silver medal in the 2004 Olympics marathon and won the 2009 New York City Marathon and the 2014 Boston Marathon.
