In depth review of the Columbia Performance Mesh Brief A review of Columbia Mens Underwear www.runnerclick.com

Columbia Performance Mesh Brief

Columbia is a very well known sportswear, and outerwear clothing company, known for their high quality gear. I had the opportunity to test out some of Columbia’s mesh athletic briefs, and I used them on runs, and for regular use. As a whole I greatly enjoyed them in both regards. The overall comfort, flexibility, and design as a whole were quite good in comparison to ordinary briefs of other brands.

These briefs were honestly quite comfortable. I had never really had any major issues with comfort while running, but these actually went above and beyond that, and actually felt good while running. A big part of that was the mesh design, which made the briefs feel very light and airy. The material as well is quite good at not scrunching up or sliding around, and was very light and sat comfortably. Overall, these were extremely comfortable, to the point where I would wear them for just everyday use, though they definitely came in extra handy while running.

I normally sweat quite a bit, and have definitely had issues with other, non athletic briefs, but even with extended running, I saw no major issues in terms of moisture with these Columbia briefs. They felt nice and light, even when I went for a long run at noon, though admittedly it hasn’t been scorching hot. The mesh seems to do its job well of preventing moisture buildup, and also letting air circulate throughout. Their patented Omni-Wick seems to be the big factor coming in, as it is designed to cause any moisture to evaporate quickly. As a whole, moisture is definitely not a problem with these briefs, which is definitely a great feature.

There were no issues at all with durability with these briefs, which is definitely a plus. Other briefs have a tendency to get holes or stretch very quickly and become less comfortable after that, especially when running. After several uses and washes, these briefs have maintained their shape well and don’t really show any signs of their wear, which is a very encouraging sign. I plan to continue using these briefs, and am confident that they will last a long time.

These briefs seem to fit fairly standard, and the pair I had fit me well. The only major thing I noticed in terms of fit was that the briefs are a bit longer than might normally be expected. They are fairly long, which didn’t really feel uncomfortable or bad, but was just a bit different at first. The waistband is snug, but doesn’t dig into the waist the way many other athletic undergarments can sometimes. Overall, the fit is pretty solid, with no major issues in terms of comfort or sizing.

Price

These performance briefs are quite comfortable and high quality, though they are a bit on the pricier end, especially when compared to normal briefs. For the price, they are definitely worth it in terms of quality, but it is definitely something to consider, especially for those on a budget. Overall, if you are willing to pay a bit more for a good pair of briefs that will last a long time, and are comfortable and moisture resistant, then these briefs are probably for you.

Bottom Line

These Columbia performance briefs are really great, offering great comfort, durability, and moisture resistance. The mesh material and Omni-Wick technology do a lot in giving these briefs the aforementioned features. I personally enjoyed them a lot, and would recommend them to those seeking a good pair of briefs, and those who can stomach the slightly high price tag. They are definitely solid for running, or most physical activities, and definitely for everyday use as well.
