Newton Motion 7 Review Facts
Watch Video Review

Newton did it again with the newest version of their Motion line of shoes. They took everything that was good about the Motion 6 and kept it the same while tweaking some of the less favorable traits to make the new and improved Newton Motion 7. They did not need to change too much to make them better, but what they did change made a huge difference. The biggest improvement was to the midsole which is made out of their Newtonium foam which gives you a much higher comfort level and adding some firmness on the inside of the shoe to help support those runners who overpronate or supinate. These shoes come in some fun colors that customers like, although they wish there were more options to choose from. Other than the lack of color choices, however, customers like the classic Newton design of the shoe. These are perfect for everyday casual wear, training, or race day. No matter what you are doing the Newton Motion 7 shoes are going to keep your feet comfortable and happy.

The outsole of the Newton Motion 7 is made out of a compound called SHARC mixed with some higher density EVA foam which is made to increase the traction and durability of the outsole so you will not have to worry about it falling apart on you or wearing down. These shoes also feature rubber pods on the forefront of the shoe which encourages you to be a forefront striker. If you are, however, someone who is a heel striker these sneakers will take some getting used to. Some customers have commented that the outsole helped them run faster because it forces them to run on the balls of their feet.
Midsole

Newton completely redesigned the midsole in this iteration of their Motion line of shoes. The midsole is made out of what they call Newtonium foam which gives customers more cushioning and a higher energy return while at the same time sitting closer to the foot. There is also different levels of firmness throughout the EVA foam which helps support you better if you are a runner who has problems with overpronation or supination. The foam of the midsole gives you amazing shock absorption and an extremely responsive ride. Customers love how comfortable these shoes feel under their feet.

Upper

The upper of the Newton Motion 7 is made out of a durable and breathable mesh material to help make sure the shoes stay lightweight and well ventilated. These shoes use lightweight overlays that help to give you a more stable ride. The four-way stretch material that stretches across the toe box gives you the perfect fit no matter if you have wide or narrow feet. It is important to wear something that is going to allow for increased airflow. You do not want to be in the middle of a race or long run and have to worry about your feet overheating. Not only will these shoes help your feet stay cool, but they will also help you stay dry. The ventilation on them will allow moisture to escape, letting the sweat from your feet evaporate. Style

The Newton Motion 7 comes in a couple different and fun colorways. When you purchase these shoes you can choose between lime and red or charcoal and yellow for the men's version and women can choose between purple and teal or green. One complaint from customers, however, is that they would love to see a better color selection than the ones given to them. Other than the color, the Motion 7's feature similar body designs and profiles to other Newton shoes, so not too much has changed with the actual design of the shoe.
Durability
Durability

Durability

For the most part, these shoes tend to hold up fairly well. Customers have had one problem with them, however, and that has to do with the quality of the tongue. Customers have commented that when they received their shoes the tongue of the shoe was stitched incorrectly making them not last as long as they should have. Other than the tongue the shoes have not had a lot of problems with premature wear and tear. The outsole is made out of high abrasion rubber which can take a beating and the midsole is the same way. You will not have to worry about them wearing out on you too soon.
