5K Nude Run Bare It All
Whoa! This is a wild one. The Bare It All Race, is part of the American Association for Nude Recreation Southwest Region (AANR-SW) Racing Series. And you guessed it, clothing is optional at all races in the series. One doesn’t have to be part of the Association to participate, and can participate just for fun. The race takes place at a Naturist Park in the middle of the afternoon. Registration is $30 and includes entrance into the park, a t-shirt (because you may not want to be nude all day), and entertainment. Awards are not given at each race, but those who opt to participate in multiple runs accumulate points and those with the most at the end of the series will win an award.

In 2001, 10 people from Oklahoma State sadly died in a plane crash over Colorado. The Remember the Ten run remembers those who passed. The entry fee is $35 and participants receive a t-shirt. Pacers will be present for those needing them, which is uncommon for a race of this size. Finally, a fun-run is also part of the event, which is great for kids. Oklahoma has it going on when it comes to runs. Sans the Naked 5k, the Rush Springs Watermelon Festival is the most unique event in the state. In the past, folks have enjoyed themselves on the run so much, it keeps going and 2018 will be the third year for the race. While there is a standard 10k, there are also specific entries for high school and college cross country runners. But what’s most exciting is that there is a relay run and participants actually carry a watermelon instead of a baton, which makes for a great workout. Entry is $30. The race begins and ends at Jeff Davis Park.
