The JBL Everest Elite 100 Bluetooth headphones are a good pair of headphones to wear for going to the gym or out on a long run when you want some music to keep you company. The wireless feature is perfect for the gym because you will not have to worry about cords getting tangled and in your way when you are switching from one activity to another. The volume buttons on the neckband also come in handy. If you need to adjust the volume, or skip tracks, you do not need to pull your phone out, you can simply use these buttons and be done with it. There are, however, some problems customers have encountered with these headphones. They may be great at first, but after a couple charges the battery just does not seem to last very long and after a couple months, customers stated, the headphones will no longer hold a charge. This can be a problem because if you cannot charge your headphones then having a wireless pair becomes unusable and customers will have to replace them. These headphones have a relatively high price tag, but as with anything online you can find a better deal and pay significantly less. Customers have suggested that you should not pay full price for these headphones, but they are not bad if you can find them on sale. Other than the battery they are a decent device for everyday use.
The use of these headphones is certainly not limited to use in the gym. Many people enjoy wearing these when on public transportation. You can put your headphones on, use the noise-canceling feature, and tune the world out around you. You can use these headphones for just about any activity, the snug fit and comfortable neckband allows you the freedom to wear these just about anywhere you can imagine.
JBL uses their NXTGen noise-canceling technology to give you the ability to choose the amount of noise you let in. You will be able to choose the best setting for you, and you can tune the world out around you or remain aware of your surroundings, all with just the push of a button.
These headphones come packaged with the headphones, of course, but also a JBL carrying case, micro-USB charging cable, 4 sets of ear tips, 3 sets of secure fit ear tips, a manual, and instructions for the JBL Headphones App.
The app will allow you to keep an eye on the battery level of your headphones. The JBL Headphone app will also give you access to the standard equalizer settings so you can choose which listening experience you want. There are preset settings you can choose from, like jazz, vocal, rock, or country music. If you do not like the preset settings available to you, you have the ability to play with the settings to create your own personalized listening experience.
The biggest problem customers seem to have with the sound quality of these headphones actually comes from the noise canceling technology. Comments and reviews have stated that it seems like there is almost no noise canceling which was very disappointing to them, others stated that they would have liked to have seen the headphones cancel more of their background noise than they did.
It is also noted that the neckband of these headphones is comfortable and it does not get in the way. It seems to sit on your neck in a good place, as to not bother you when you are out and about wearing them. Every aspect of these headphones brings comfort to the user.
The rest of the headphones, however, do hold up pretty well. The headphones themselves are made to not fall apart. There have been no reports on the neckband or the wires themselves breaking or falling apart. The fact that they are wireless also is favorable because you will not have to worry about the headphone jack breaking or becoming loose and unusable.

Reviews have not said much about the ability to connect your device to the headphones, just that at times it can be a little bit laggy. That being said, it seems pretty easy and self-explanatory. You simply hold the power button on the headset until you get the prompt that it is pairing. Once you hear that, you find the headphones on your mobile device through the Bluetooth menu. Once that is done you are connected and ready to go.
The headphones charge via micro-USB cable, which is included in the package. If you find yourself needing a spare charging cord you can use any micro-USB cord to charge these. Something to note, however, is that you can wear these headphones and listen to music while they are plugged in. So, if you have to charge them and do not mind being plugged in, that is something that you can consider.
