What are buyers saying?

We have spent 3.00 hours analyzing a total of 540 reviews.

These reviews are then categoried into "Positive" and "Negative" feedback.

Below you will read a summary of them:

Positive
  • I love these neutral shoes, the lugs on these give such good traction on all types of ground, wet, dry, slippery, muddy, these shoes are fine, the support from the shoe is balanced enough to count. The cushion laid out in these is equally balanced, not too little and not too much.
  • Where I live we have huge parks which get boggy in the rainy season, these shoes are good no matter what condition the ground, there is a lot of water and the drainage in these is fine. Very comfortable neutral shoe, good for tough environments.
  • My fit is medium and these sit perfectly on my feet, the fact they are sold as all-terrain got much attention because that's where I run, the grip from the tough lugs bites deep for a sure foothold but does not pull when lifting the foot, the breath-ability level does work but it’s a two way thing, can water get in, yes, at times but not too much. If you’re looking for a good solid pair of shoes, these are good.
  • Love these, even the tongue allows breathability, the grip on the muddy trails around my town is perfect, very good comfort from the full-length foam built into these. Had these for 12 weeks and use them twice a week, very good all natural surfaces shoe, not roads.
  • Where I run the ground can be very unpredictable and full of surprises, these work great, no matter what comes up, the shoe grip, when I do hit deeper pools of water, the drainage ports quickly get the water out, the toebox gives space to flex my toes and the shoe structure holds nicely to my feet.
  • Firstly as a neutral shoe, I really appreciate the design and the subtle underfoot cushion foam inner sole, the uppers are very well designed for ventilation, these came with drainage ports which have been very useful while running in these.
  • So far I have done six different trails in these, those trails vary in terms of surfaces and these shoes have done very well on all those surfaces.
  • I’m totally impressed by the performance of these, I’m going to use them in my next Spartan race next months, these are the shoes which I trust are up to the challenge.
  • I got these for fell running in Autumn, that's when the running gets muddy and slippery, without reservation I am very impressed with these, every run means a total soaking which can cause durability problems but these are holding together. Looking at the lugs I knew grip would be sure and it is. Nice neutral shoe.
  • Never tried these before but took a try with this pair, not disappointed, these run well in tough conditions and the shoe structure remains credible, the grip is good for all terrains, these are good.
Negative
  • The shoe would be ok but small stones and grit get in via the drainage holes, this is very uncomfortable, mud can also block these holes, when the shoe gets wet, these blockages stop the shoe draining properly, these issues have caused a lot of problems for me with these.
  • The shoe area behind the ankle is too hard for my feet, it constantly rubs and won't soften through breaking in. I have to wear long socks every time with these.
  • Could do with just a bit more cushion in the forefoot of the shoe, bit uncomfortable on long runs.
  • The lacing on this shoe wont go tight enough, I prefer a secure hold helped out by a good lace set-up but this shoe won't do that.
  • The shoe is unattractive, the design makes these look dirty from day one, for my feet, these run narrow but wearable.
  • I’m sure these gave me plantar fasciitis, I’m not suggesting they will happen to everyone but it did for me. When I ran in these I could feel they did not square with my feet but I kept using them. Big mistake.

Outsole
Outsole

Outsole

As is common with most running shoes, especially trail runners, the Reebok All Terrain Thrill makes use of durable rubber to provide a simultaneously tough but lightweight outsole. Abrasion is a serious threat to the longevity of any running shoe, so this construction provides an added layer of defence against natural wear and tear. Trail running presents the added challenge of handling loose debris on the trail, and this shoe does that well. On top of all of this, the shoe makes use of lugs for gripping the ground no matter what the surface might be like.
Midsole
Midsole

Midsole

The Reebok All Terrain Thrill makes use of a proprietary technology called IMEVA to give you comprehensive cushioning no matter what you're running on. It runs the full length of the shoe, meaning there won't be any gaps in cushioning coverage for your foot. No matter how unpredictable the surface of the ground might be, you'll have a stable cushioned experience. There's also a drainage system that helps to prevent water from getting trapped in the shoe. This is especially useful on rainy runs, or going through streams and other shallow bodies of water.
Upper
Upper

Upper

The risk with any breathable mesh upper is that it runs the risk of letting in the elements. This is especially risky for a trail runner, where mud and rocks can be let in along with water. Surprisingly, though, the Reebok All Terrain Thrill has a durable enough upper to prevent the bulk of intruders from entering your shoe. And again, this is particularly helpful on mud runs or rocky trails.
Weight
Weight

Weight

The Reebok All Terrain Thrill runs a bit heavy for a running shoe, but this does tend to make sense when you consider all of the features that it has. It weighs in at 11.5oz. for the men's version and 9.3oz. for the women's version. This is not the heaviest trail shoe out there, but it's definitely important to take the weight of the shoe into consideration before making your choice.
Breathability
Breathability

Breathability

As we've touched on before, the Reebok All Terrain Thrill has superb breathability, thanks to its breathable mesh upper and tongue which are designed with tiny holes to let in the air while you're running. The upper also features drainage ports to allow the water to run out of the shoe, keeping feet as dry and cool as possible.
Comfort
Comfort

Comfort

Along with being particularly breathable and protective, the mesh upper has also been called comfortable by many reviewers. The toe box is at just the right width to give you a good fit without being too tight or too wide. There's a foam unit that runs the full length of the shoe, allowing you to have a cushioned ride no matter what you might be running over. The shoe also utilizes a rock guard that's situated in the underfoot, effectively keeping your feet protected from jagged terrain as you run.
Style
Style

Style

The style of the Reebok All Terrain Thrill is its biggest asset and detriment, depending on what your style preferences are. The shoe has a decidedly rugged look and almost looks like it's camouflaged. It also has what some call a "dirty" appearance. This might appeal to runners who are looking to take on mud runs and want something that will exemplify their choice of races, but this might not appeal to runners who want a clean, traditional look when it comes to their running shoes.
Durability
Durability

Durability

The Reebok All Terrain Thrill excels when it comes to durability. Its outsole is constructed from strong rubber that will keep your feet protected as you run, and it's backed up by lugs that provide plenty of traction as well. These lugs serve as a way of protecting the rest of the base of the shoe as well, making it even more likely that you'll keep this shoe for quite a long time. When you consider that heavy trail running has a tendency to wear out shoes quickly, this is especially welcomed.
Protection
Protection

Protection

When it comes to running on more technical trails, there's a big risk of hitting debris that can either enter into your shoe or have a big impact on your gait cycle. To that end, the outsole of the Reebok All Terrain Thrill does a great job of protecting your feet and keeping this debris from getting in. The lugs are an added layer of protection, shielding the main base of the outsole from the ground so that you have even less of a chance of having your run affected by the debris.
Responsiveness
Responsiveness

Responsiveness

You can thank the Reebok All Terrain Thrill's midsole for much of its responsiveness, as its cushioning responds directly to your run and runs the length of the shoe, meaning that there won't be any areas of your foot that are left out. That is sometimes a problem with other running shoes. At the expense of comfort and responsiveness, the shoe companies cut down on some of the cushioning in order to save on both weight and price. This simply isn't the case with the Reebok All Terrain Thrill.
Support
Support

Support

The arch support on the Reebok All Terrain Thrill is neutral, meaning that it's going to accommodate the vast majority of runners. This also means that those who suffer from any degree of overpronation aren't going to get the same level of support that they'd be getting on a shoe that specializes in stability. As a result, this might be something that overpronators will want to take into account before purchasing the Reebok All Terrain Thrill, but this shoe will provide good support for the vast majority of runners.
Terrain
Terrain

Terrain

The Reebok All Terrain Thrill is most definitely a trail running shoe in terms of terrain. Its lugs make that apparent. To this end, you need a shoe that's capable of gaining traction on the ground without getting you stuck in mud or other similar terrains. For the most part, this simply isn't something you have to worry about with the Reebok All Terrain Thrill.
Price
Price

Price

The price on the Reebok All Terrain Thrill does vary a bit, so what you pay might depend on which seller you're able to get it from. As of this writing, the Reebok All Terrain Thrill varies in price from around $85 to around $110, which makes this shoe an affordable option. When you consider all of the features that Reebok has packed into this shoe, the cost might make this shoe a good contender.
Traction
Traction

Traction

We've touched on this before, but it bears repeating: The traction on the Reebok All Terrain Thrill is exceptional, thanks in large part to its impressive lugs that allow you to grip the ground without getting stuck in it. This traction is designed especially with neutral runners in mind, giving the foot plenty of stability as you run. This is crucial on uneven terrain, where you might be running straight up a hill that's rocky, maybe even with a bit of mud thrown into the mix.
Flexibility
Flexibility

Flexibility

The flexibility on the Reebok All Terrain Thrill is quite good, which is especially surprising when you consider the weight, cushioning and outsole of the shoe. It might not be as flexible as other running shoes on the market, but it definitely does the job for what it's been designed for. The outsole does flex well, allowing for some natural movement.
Stability
Stability

Stability

We've already touched on the fact that the arch support on this shoe is neutral, and is therefore great for the vast majority of runners, but just as important is the fact that this shoe has a steady base from which to run. The midsole is well-cushioned and allows for a smooth running experience which the outsole utilizes a durable rubber construction to maintain strength even on a long run while simultaneously maintaining stability.
Drop
Drop

Drop

The heel to toe drop on the Reebok All Terrain Thrill, for both the men's and women's versions, sits at exactly 10mm. This is a standard drop for a running shoe. Even with this drop, the shoe is quite stable and performs well for its intended use, trail running.
