An extra bonus is the small curvature that replicates the shape of the foot. It makes the 890v6 that much more comfortable.
These are a mid-ranged price running shoe with a top dollar feel. When New balance decided to relaunch the New Balance 890, you can tell they put a lot of thought into the design and listened to their reviewers. It took them a while, but these have shown to be well worth the wait at a price range you cannot ignore.
